This is an excellent garage that have always honestly assessed and repaired my old car. I have been back several times for MOT and service and have always been very well served.

Amazing customer service had coil springs done one day then had a problem with wheel locking nuts the next day and Steve sorted it for me much appreciated will be using in future,,, great garage

Steve was the only mechanic in the area willing to take on the challenge of converting the lights on my imported car to GB standards. It turned out to be a complicated job, but he did it with a proper problem solving attitude and the results were great. Have since been back for mot, service and bits and bobs - excellent service from Steve, Lynn and the team every time. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Brought my car in for major repairs after discovering I had had the misfortune to buy a wreck of a car. Steve was very thorough and took the time to carefully explain what needed to be done and why. Repairs were done within the week and just below estimate. I was very impressed with Steve's knowledge and reassured by his willingness to walk me through everything. Lynne was very friendly, professional and efficient, keeping me up to date as the work progressed

Phoned up to find out if they could squeeze me in to do an emergency MOT as a place where I was booked in Oxford had “no record of my MOT service that day” (Argh!) when I arrived.

Well what can I say, Steve and Lyn have been amazing and I cannot thank them enough. They have a lifetime customer out of me and I will be recommending them to everyone.

I purchased a car privately, I took it to AVS for a service to put my mind at ease that the car was ok. I got a call to tell me unfortunately the MOT from the previous garage was fraudulent and my car was in fact not roadworthy and dangerous. Thanks to their advice and support I have reported the other garage to the DVSA and AVS are helping with doing a further MOT to hopefully help prosecute the other garage.
Steve has even offered to come to my house and fix the car so I can safely drive it to the MOT test centre. They have gone above and beyond to help me and will not accept any money for their services. So nice to have an honest and trustworthy place I can take my car.

I bought my first car during lockdown and wanted to have a service done on it to make sure it was going to run OK. I found AVS by searching locally and booked it in. I went back for my MOT and today to get a new battery. It's a great garage - Lyn is super fast to get back to my email enquiries and the mechanic there is always knowledgable and quick to resolve any issue. I find the pricing fair too compared to what I hear from other drivers! Fully recommend!!

Top service. Went in for a service and MOT and asked for a quote on 2 small body jobs. They figured out how to do the body jobs more simply and did so at a very good price.

Great place. Fixed car and sorted other issues I needed and in great timing in in Friday got back on Monday. Highly recommended!!

Highly recommend ! Lovely garage, honest, friendly, have saved us two times already with car issues since we moved to Abingdon. God sends! My knowledge of cars is non existent . I am grateful to them for being a trustworthy and efficient company, they go above and beyond.

I wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend this garage to my friends and family. The owners are friendly and welcoming, There is no job too little or too large that they don't try to help with. The main reason I find this garage so excellent is that they are honest, reliable and fair, regardless of your own knowledge of mechanics and costs. With my previous car (a very old import), whilst I was still happy to put money into it, which would have had a large percentage end up in their pockets for labour, I was told that it was not in my interest to do this, and whilst I'm more on top of costs and repairs now, I wasn't at the time and could have been very much taken advantage of, but instead was guided to what was the best and cheapest option for me, and not their profit margin. Having got a new (not new new, just not the old car) car which is now teetering on the end of it's life, they have remarkably been able to keep it going year after year at minimal cost to me, but maximum safety of driving. I really cannot sing their praises enough, especially for those who, like me, are not so knowldegable about cars, as honesty and integrity seem to be the work ethos here. My family have been going here for 20+ years, which speaks volumes, and I have no intention of going elsewhere.

Very polite and friendly staff, easy to book my car in for MOT. Very helpful as well when collecting the car in explaining any issues or advisories in more detail and advising on what needs doing (if anything at all). I didn't feel at all like I was being sold anything I didn't need, very genuine!

My van had a pretty bad coolant leak making it unusable, not good when you're self employed. Abingdon vehicle services had me back on the road in a couple of days and at a very reasonable price.

Really good find for us, using the google review system. Had some very worrying issues with the power steering in our Audi. Steve got the car in immediately and worked on the vehicle diagnosing quite an unusual fault. Communicated with us at all times and was completely transparent about price for labour, parts, time etc, trying to save us extra costs where he could. The lady at reception (with the lovely dog) was polite, helpful and accommodating too. I trust in his work and will continue to use him for future work. Thank you.
